Meet Rustin Staheli and Why I Do This

Modern Shooting Solutions was created with the average citizen in mind, providing quality education in self defense, home defense, shooting, and fitness. Training is offered in a group setting or personalized one on one, and every course is built for all skill levels, no previous firearm experience required. I offer these courses at a price that is affordable and welcoming to everyone.

MSS was founded and is run by myself, Rustin Staheli.

Recent world events have sparked interest in many people who want to learn firearm self defense skills but do not know where to start. My goal in starting this company was to build a community of everyday people who feel confident and capable using their Second Amendment rights when it matters most. I believe in the right to bear arms, and I also believe we have a responsibility to know how to use them properly and proficiently.

I served both in the military and in law enforcement, including a combat deployment to Iraq, and I am a certified NRA instructor. I have always loved learning new skills, and there is nothing more rewarding to me than teaching someone how to defend themselves and watching them gain real confidence handling, firing, and carrying a firearm safely and responsibly.

Alongside training, I started offering experiences like our Night Vision Shooting Experience because I wanted a way to get more people curious about this world in a fun, low pressure setting. Not everyone is ready to sign up for a training course, but almost everyone loves the idea of trying something new and exciting. Experiences are a way to put quality gear in your hands, have a great time, and open the door to learning more if you want to.
